September 9: Yui Brick Game can't paint
Patch 1.0.011r officially fixed palette UI and Brick Game issues, but players still report progress staying at 0% after selecting a named set. Select the exact order-named palette rather than Freestyle, confirm the requested surface, and reload once. If it persists, keep the order text, selected set, progress, build, GPU, screenshot or short video. This remains a player report, not a universal confirmed bug.
Named palette checkpoints: Banana Barrel, Ramen Shop, Maid Flyer and Wind Amp
Use the exact palette named by the customer ticket and confirm it remains selected when the airbrush touches the requested surface. A visually similar colour or Freestyle does not substitute for a named request. If progress stays at zero, capture the ticket, selected palette, surface and build before changing tools.
| Palette | Selection check | Completion check |
|---|---|---|
| Banana Barrel | Choose the named preset | Ticket progress changes on the required surface |
| Ramen Shop | Confirm Ramen Shop remains active | Do not substitute a similar red/yellow mix |
| Maid Flyer | Match the ticket spelling | Capture the selected state if progress stays at zero |
| Wind Amp | Choose Wind Amp, not Freestyle | Check every requested paintable surface |
What kind of paint problem do you have?
Wall paint, device paint, named palettes, Yui’s Brick Game and Airbrush jobs use different checks. Choose the matching branch before retrying.
| Problem type | Use this branch | First controlled check |
|---|---|---|
| Wall Paint | Workshop wall painting | Confirm the wall surface and selected colour, Apply once, then reopen the menu |
| Device Paint | Customer device paint task | Confirm the required surface, coverage and active tool |
| Named Palette | Banana Barrel / Ramen Shop / Maid Flyer / Wind Amp | Select the exact named preset, not a similar colour |
| Yui’s Brick Game | Device-specific story task | Preserve a pre-paint save and follow the Yui checkpoint below |
| Airbrush | Device coating and palette workflow | Confirm the Airbrush is selected and the requested surface is active |
Wall Paint Applies Then Turns Grey
Status: Player reported / Watching. A wall that returns to grey after Apply is a wall-paint report, not proof that an Airbrush palette is missing.
- Confirm you opened the workshop wall menu, not a device paint task
- Select one wall and one colour, then use Apply once
- Close and reopen the wall menu to check whether the choice persisted
- If it returns to grey, capture the selected row, colour, wall and build
- Keep the report version-specific; no universal fix is confirmed
Match the requested palette, not just the colour
If a customer names a palette, use that named palette rather than trying to imitate it with another set of colours. A developer reply explains that palettes are bought through Home Depot on the computer. Community examples include Ramen Shop, Wind Amp and Patendo; Banana Barrel is another named request reported by players. Freestyle is the open-choice case. Keep the request and selected palette visible when diagnosing zero progress.
Buy, receive and select the palette
Open Home Depot on the shop computer and find the palette category. Compare the exact request name before buying. A community walkthrough describes receiving the delivery, applying the palette to the painting tool and selecting it from the tool menu. Buying it and selecting it are separate checks. If a menu or delivery behaves differently on your build, record that difference rather than repeatedly buying the same item.
Named palette reference
Use this table as a request-matching index, not a list of newly verified unlock conditions or prices. Names are preserved exactly so you can compare the game menu. Do not create separate purchases for each colour when the ticket asks for a palette.
| Palette | Request type | Check |
|---|---|---|
| Ramen Shop | Named request | Select Ramen Shop in the tool menu |
| Banana Barrel | Named request reported by players | Match the ticket exactly; do not substitute Freestyle |
| Wind Amp | Named request | Use the matching palette |
| Patendo | Named request | Check spelling and selected menu item |
| Freestyle | Open paint choice | Paint the required surface and check progress |
Painted surface, but progress is still zero
First compare ticket name, selected palette and the required surface. Then test a small area and check the counter before repainting the entire device. Palette-related fixes are recorded in 1.0.011r, but that does not prove every rendering, older-GPU or progress report is solved. If the correct palette is selected and the counter remains stuck, use Airbrush Not Working. Record build, GPU, tool, palette and surface; do not delete a save to troubleshoot painting.
Freestyle and completion checks
Freestyle allows a choice of paint rather than demanding a named set, but it is not evidence that zero coverage should complete a job. An early developer reply identified submission at 0% as a bug. Follow the current ticket counter, inspect hidden edges and check that all other repair requirements are complete. A visual colour change alone does not establish delivery readiness.
Palette FAQ
Where are palettes sold? In Home Depot on the computer. Does owning a palette select it? Check the tool menu separately. Can any colours satisfy Ramen Shop? Match the named palette, not an approximation. Does the old palette patch fix every airbrush problem? No; selection, rendering and task progress need separate checks. Are prices listed here? No current-build purchase-price measurements are available in this guide.
