If a menu or delivery behaves differently on your build, record that difference rather than repeatedly buying the same item.

Use the exact palette named by the customer ticket and confirm it remains selected when the airbrush touches the requested surface. A visually similar colour or Freestyle does not substitute for a named request. If progress stays at zero, capture the ticket, selected palette, surface and build before changing tools.

Can individual parts be painted before assembly?
Current evidence does not confirm that disassembled parts can be painted as a supported workflow. The August 7 Steam thread asks for that feature; a feature request is not proof that the current build supports it. Use a protected save for tests and do not present an unverified sequence as a fix.
Drawing tablet drags the device or paints distant streaks
Status: Player reported / Watching. A September 21 report says a drawing tablet dragged the device instead of painting and paint appeared as streaks elsewhere. A reply speculated about UV or whole-texture behavior, but that explanation was explicitly uncertain and is not a confirmed cause. No universal fix has been reproduced. Preserve the save and record the tablet model, input mode, game build, ticket, selected palette, target part and a short capture of the first incorrect stroke.
Freestyle and completion checks
Freestyle allows a choice of paint rather than demanding a named set, but it is not evidence that zero coverage should complete a job. An early developer reply identified submission at 0% as a bug. Follow the current ticket counter, inspect hidden edges and check that all other repair requirements are complete. A visual colour change alone does not establish delivery readiness.
This is the wall-color menu, not the device airbrush palette. Changing the workshop walls does not select the named set for a repair order.
What does “Palette: Memory Dump” mean?
Memory Dump is the name of the paint palette requested by the task, according to a community clarification on the August 10 thread. The earlier August 11 reply pointed the player to purchasable paint sets; a newer reply clarified the wording. This is an old task-label explanation, not a September 16 patch note, a memory error, or a developer-confirmed fix. Select the palette named Memory Dump before painting. If the correct palette is selected but the airbrush has no effect or Undo appears while progress stays at 0%, record that as a separate painting-tool symptom; do not clear memory or delete the save.

September 9: Yui Brick Game can't paint
Patch 1.0.011r officially fixed palette UI and Brick Game issues, but players still report progress staying at 0% after selecting a named set. Select the exact order-named palette rather than Freestyle, confirm the requested surface, and reload once. If it persists, keep the order text, selected set, progress, build, GPU, screenshot or short video. This remains a player report, not a universal confirmed bug.

Wall Paint Applies Then Turns Grey
Status: Player reported / Watching. A September 27 report says choosing orange and pressing Apply produced green or purple instead. The author guessed that the Apply-button hitbox might overlap nearby colours, but no cause or reliable workaround is confirmed. This is a workshop-wall selection problem, not the Airbrush, Yui Brick Game or device-paint 0% symptom.
- Confirm you opened the workshop wall menu, not a device paint task
- Record the selected colour, exact click position and wall before pressing Apply once
- Capture the menu selection and the resulting wall in the same test
- Reopen the menu and record which colour is selected after the mismatch
- Do not claim that offset clicking is a fix unless a controlled retest reproduces it

Finish the normal purchase, receipt and palette-selection checks above.
