How repair steps, routes, achievements, screenshots, videos, and community reports are checked before publication.
Separate sources by what they can prove
Official store descriptions and patch notes establish features, release status, and documented fixes. Current-build play establishes repeatable repair behavior. Community discussions and videos are valuable leads, but a single route proves only that an outcome can happen—not that every recorded step is required.
Record the smallest useful evidence set
For a repair, record the device, order source, symptom, orientation, fasteners, layers, cleaning targets, replacement part, required tool, result, and game build. For a story choice, record the customer, exact decision, immediate reaction, later callback, save point, and build. For an achievement, keep the public Steam condition separate from the moment its notification appears.
Version and spoiler rules
Release-build evidence takes priority over demo behavior when they conflict. Workarounds carry a version and are removed from the short answer after a confirmed fix. Mechanical pages avoid named story outcomes; endings and hidden achievements place route details behind an explicit spoiler boundary.
Original media and community credit
Screenshots remain attributed to the official Steam page, and videos link to the original publisher or creator. Community findings link to their original discussion whenever possible so readers can inspect context, dates, corrections, and competing reports.
Corrections
A correction should name the page, game build, device or route, step that behaved differently, and the observable result. Stronger current evidence replaces the short answer; dated behavior may remain in a version note when it helps explain older videos or reports. Corrections can be sent to hello@restoryhelper.com.
