A spoiler-filled ReStory story explanation covering the previous owner, the mysterious woman, the laptop, Bucket, Megamall and the ending evidence.
Spoiler and evidence boundary
Confirmed here means the event is visible in the released game or described by the official store. Recorded means multiple players are discussing the same scene. Strongly implied is an interpretation that connects those scenes. Unresolved means the public evidence does not support one certain answer.
| Status | How to read it |
|---|---|
| Confirmed | Visible game event or official premise |
| Recorded | A scene or line independently described by players |
| Strongly implied | The clearest reading, but not an explicit statement |
| Unresolved | The game does not currently give a decisive answer |
The story sequence players can actually verify
The official premise establishes a repair shop where conversations and decisions affect customers and the shop. Community scene records then describe the missing previous owner, information on a laptop, an instruction to dispose of that information, Bucket’s connection to the old shop, the championship, and the Megamall confrontation. That order is useful; the motives connecting every event are not all confirmed.

Orders begin at the counter. Read the request, then check the To-Do list before deciding that progress is blocked.
What happened to the previous owner?
Recorded scenes make the previous owner’s disappearance the mystery behind the shop. The story points toward dangerous people and concealed information, but it does not clearly show a final fate or identify one proven culprit. Treat “killed,” “escaped,” and “became another named character” as theories unless a later build adds a direct scene.
The mysterious woman, her husband and the laptop
Players record a woman asking the protagonist to handle information connected to a laptop and her husband. The scene establishes secrecy and disposal pressure. It does not fully establish who the husband is, whether every claim is truthful, or why the information matters to each faction. Those details remain unresolved.
The protagonist, Bucket and Megamall
The Megamall material and later dialogue strongly imply that the protagonist knows more about the conflict than the opening reveals. Bucket and the old shop help connect the personal mystery to the redevelopment threat. A common community interpretation is that the protagonist displaced the old operators and adopted the shop as a new identity, but the game does not state every step plainly enough to mark that reading as confirmed.
Championship, final choice and ending
Use the championship as a late-story checkpoint, not proof that every side route is complete. After it, clear open mail, customer callbacks and visible tasks before advancing the final sequence. The ending choice resolves the immediate shop-versus-Megamall conflict; it does not retroactively answer every question about the previous owner, laptop or protagonist.
What ReStory still does not clearly explain
The current public evidence does not decisively establish the previous owner’s fate, the husband’s full identity, the exact contents and custody chain of the laptop data, or a complete chronology for the protagonist before the shop. These are genuine gaps, not steps the player necessarily missed.
